remembrance respect
For one day a year the world turns silent
No voices - No music - No chat
It lasts just a moment a minute or two
You'd think we could all manage that
But people speak out they must have their say
They don't think that past actions were just
But it's not that what counts that's not why we act
We remember our fallen...we must
Without our respect without our remorse
Then history repeats once again
If we forget sacrifices and forget all our dead
We'd be back in the trenches again
If you don't want a poppy or show your respects
To the men that have died in the past
At least show decorum and show some restraint
And let those that who wish to march past
For one day a year at eleven o'clock
Please have some respect for our dead
It's not much to ask its not much to give
Show in actions what cannot be said.
